Thermo Scientific CultiMaxx Shelving Systems are designed for use in Heracell VIOS 250i or Heracell Vios 250i Cleanroom CTS Series CO₂ incubators to support scale-out of Thermo Scientific™ Nunc™ Cell Factory™ systems in cell therapy production and are ideal for use with Wilson Wolf G-Rex® 500M-CS bioreactors, standard Nunc Cell Factory system or the Thermo Scientific™ Nunc™ EasyFill™ Cell Factory™ system, both with 4 layers.

The CultiMaxx shelving system increases usable space in the incubator chamber to accommodate up to 10× Nunc Cell Factory 4 vessels simultaneously. With the standard configuration of the incubator interior, the Heracell VIOS 250i/ Heracell Vios 250i CR CTS Series CO₂ incubators can accommodate up to nine Nunc Cell Factory four-layer units. However, not every vessel can be accessed easily since some would be positioned behind others. With a complete redesign of the shelving, the CultiMaxx system provides less than 0.5 mm of deflection per vessel under maximum load, maintaining proper medium coverage for maximum cell yield. Individual access to each vessel minimises handling and cell culture disturbance when removing vessels from the incubator. The staggered shelving design offers flexibility by providing improved clearance for filters and connections when loading the vessels into the incubator.
The CultiMaxx shelving system for use with 4 layer Cell Factories accommodates a maximum of 10× Cell Factories, 2 each on the 5 levels with a total weight capacity of 22,5 kg (4,5 kg per shelf). Alternatively a maximum of 6× Cell factory systems with 10 or 13 layers can be accommodated, 2 each on the top, middle and bottom levels with a total weight capacity of 33,6 kg (11,2 kg per shelf).
CultiMaxx systems designed for use with Wilson Wolf G-Rex® 500M-CS bioreactors accommodate up to 10× bioreactors simultaneously (providing a maximum weight capacity of 65 kg) in a VIOS 250i CO₂ Cleanroom incubator, compared to just 4 bioreactors without the shelving system.
The CultiMaxx shelving system for use with Wilson Wolf bioreactors accommodates a maximum of 10× G-Rex® 500M-CS reactors, 4 each on the top and middle level and 2 on the bottom level, alternatively 42× G-Rex® 100M-CS reactors can be accommodated, 17 each on the top and middle level and 8 on the bottom level or a maximum of 123× G-Rex® 10M-CS reactors, 42 each on the top and middle level and 39 on the bottom level.
